So following on from yesterdays screencast I have put together another short tutorial showing the first part of a simple blog application.
The tutorial touches on the template controller use, basic ORM implementation and basic configuration issues. It picks up straight from where the previous tutorial left off and will be concluded by a second part showing how to make use of the forge module and ORM to create and save blog entries.
I had some feedback yesterday on the sound levels of the first screencast so I have upped the levels on this one, I have also increased the quality slightly, although this has also increased the file size (this screencast is 30mb when zipped with 13minute length)
I will only offer this one as compressed download (due to the bigger size) so any feedback would be greatly received!
[Download the second screencast here - 31mb]
Cheers

Thank you, nice work.
Please give us more examples if you have time.
Good work and up-to-date (very rare this spring!).
Need more, please. I want to use Kohana as my first PHP framework. Thanks!
hey Matt I appreciate the first two tutorials for Kohana and was wondering if your planning doing the second one to add a bit more functionality. Thanks
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the comments, I do plan on adding more tutorials (I actually just added one over at the learn Kohana blog) but have been waiting for a lot of the new developments to settle down before doing any more work!
Keep checking back though!

Hello Matt,
Thanks for doing the tutorials — they really help. Where is part 2 of the blog (second) screencast covering ORM and the forge module? Does it exist?
“…and will be concluded by a second part showing how to make use of the forge module and ORM to create and save blog entries.”
Hi Matt,
I am also looking for the next blog screencast.
